What does the PTO do? The PTO is a dedicated group of individuals from the Ranger School community who work together to enhance our children’s educational experience by organizing and funding academic and social enrichment programs.
Another function of our PTO is to provide a forum through our monthly meetings for communication between parents and teachers. Our meetings are good occasions to find out what’s going on, voice your opinion on upcoming events and activities and to get involved. We also decide which fund raisers to run as well as how to spend our hard-earned money. The meetings are friendly and informative and usually last about an hour.
All help, any help makes a difference.
The success of the PTO depends on "new" people getting involved, sharing ideas and volunteering in various ways. The PTO emphasizes that all help, any help makes a difference. We'd love for you to get involved in any way that works with your schedule and interests. What would you like to do and when would you like to do it? Just let us know. There is something for everyone!
What we did last year
Here are some ways the PTO has planned or assisted with funds last year: After School Arts Program, several family fun nights, holiday crafts in the classroom, field trip bus expenses, classroom assemblies (such as Regal Reptiles, Lloyd Center, POW Science, and squid dissections), field day, 4th Grade Farewell, book fairs, and school improvements.
