Annual Feinstein Spring Food Drive

 for Tiverton Food Pantry

March 16th to March 26th, 2010

The food pantry has stated a need for the following high priority items:

Stuffing, Cereal, Personal Hygiene Items, Cranberry Sauce, Canned Meats, Toilet Paper

Instant Potatoes, Hearty Soups, Paper towels, Yams, Macaroni + Cheese, Pie Crust, Canned Fruits, Canned Vegetables, Pie Crust, Cake Mixes, Pumpkin Filling, Brownie Mixes, Coffee, Rice, Beans, & Pasta, Powdered Milk, Chowder, and Pork & Beans

Goods will be accepted before, during, and after school daily

FEINSTEIN Jr. Scholar T-Shirts

Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein wants to provide a free T-Shirt to every student at Ranger school for their good deeds and hard work. Order forms have been sent home. Please be sure to return them to school by Tuesday, March 23rd.

~Free Birthday Parties at Roger Williams Park Carousel Village

Mr. Feinstein has arranged for free rides, popcorn, and birthday parties at Carousel Village in Roger Williams park for all Jr. Scholars and their friends for the next 5 years. Please call 401-744-9268 to schedule a party. For free rides and popcorn, just show up whenever you wish.

~Mr. Feinstein to Visit on Tuesday, March 23rd

Mr. Feinstein will be at Ranger School for a visit at 9:00 on the 23rd. Students are asked to wear your Junior Scholar sweatshirts that day.

~Stop and Shop Gift Cards for Easter:

We have Stop and Shop gift cards available for Ranger School families through the Feinstein Community Fund. Please contact the office for additional information. All inquiries are confidential.

Ranger Students Jump

for Heart Association

Our students participated in our annual Jump for the Heart Association program last week. Heartfelt thanks to all members of our community for your continued generosity toward this annual event. Collection of envelopes is taking place this week. Totals will be reported in the next newsletter. Special thanks to Mr. Del Deo, our Health and Physical Education teacher, for coordinating and conducting the event.


POW! SCIENCE!

Students in grades K through 4 are participating in programs conducted by Mr. Eric Bulmer of POW! SCIENCE! Each grade is participating in a program geared to their KITES program. The programs are as follows: Kindergarten—Marbles, Tracks, and Ramps; Grade One—Alchemical Chemistry; Grade 2—Machines in Motion; Grade 3—Spy Science; and Grade 4—Geology Rocks.
