Thanksgiving Thoughts
There are many reasons to be thankful during this special time of the year. The following are some that come to mind regarding our school and community:
Have a Great Holiday!!

Alan Shawn Feinstein Visits School
Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein visited the school recently. He was here to help us kick-off the Feinstein Jr. Scholar Program. Mr. Feinstein spoke to our students about the importance of doing good deeds and helping the needy. He challenged them to be active participants in the Feinstein Program that began with our annual canned good drive this Fall to benefit the Tiverton Food Pantry as well as a March Drive as part of the Feinstein national anti-hunger campaign.
Students received an official Feinstein Junior Scholar Club Membership Card. The card entitles them to numerous benefits throughout the state including free admission to the following: Bank of America Skating Rink, Roger Williams Park Carousel rides, StingRay soccer games, Seekonk Speedway regular Saturday night shows, Majestic Newport cruises, Battleship Cove, free karate lessons, free dance lessons, a free round of mini-golf, and admission to the Providence Children’s Museum.
School Receives Check for $305.00 from Mr. Feinstein
We are pleased to announce that the school received a check for $305.00 from Mr. Feinstein for use in our Feinstein Community Fund. The check matches the number of canned goods that were collected in our annual food drive. Thanks go out to all who contributed to this great cause.
School Donates $400.00 to Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund
We are also pleased to announce that we recently donated $400.00 to the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund. The funds were raised during our Hat Days. As stated previously, Mr. Feinstein will be matching our donation and presenting the school with a check for our Feinstein Community Fund. Again, thanks to all students who participated and parents who donated.

Staff Christmas Recommendation
This is the time of year when we as a faculty begin to discuss how fortunate we are. We are grateful to have amazing students and work in a wonderful environment. We are always overwhelmed with the generosity of our students and their families at the holidays. As we begin to focus ourselves on what is truly important about the season, we are respectfully asking that teacher and staff gifts be forgone this year.
If a student feels the need to give a teacher/staff gift, please donate to our Ranger School Feinstein Community Fund to help the families in our community. Uses of the Feinstein fund include: scholarships to after-school programs, Stop and Shop cards during Holiday seasons, weekly summer sessions at the Fall River Boys and Girls Club, and any other situations of need that arise involving families of Ranger School students. Checks should be made out to” Ranger School Feinstein Community Fund.”

In November Mrs.Bond and the 4th grade String Orchestra students were thankful for the student carpenters at THS. Under the direction of Mr. Phillips, the Woodwork teacher, the students made beautiful stools for the string bass players. The stools help the young beginning students to better control their massive string bass instruments. What a wonderful school community we have! Thank you for the help Mr. Phillips & Student Carpenters!
